Talk it Out with a Kansas City Psychologist
Jason S. Berman, PhD, CGP
Why Talk It Out, Kansas City? Talking it out is a healthy way to work through troubling thoughts, feelings and conflict. If you don’t talk it out, you might act it out with bad relationships, unhealthy eating, harmful sexual behavior, alcoholism, drugs, etc.
Or… If you don’t talk it out, the negative feelings might get sour or dark inside you with depression, anxiety, self-hatred, racing thoughts, intrusive memories, stomach aches, muscle tension, high blood pressure, etc.
Do you act out your troubles or do you hold them in?
Whatever seems to be your reactions to the difficulties or problems in life, you are not stuck and you are not alone.
Okay, so you decide to talk it out but a good listener is hard to find. A good listener:
- asks good questions to help you
- doesn’t judge you or your past
- can be trusted to keep private what you say
- will be honest with you
Why this clinical psychologist?
Not only am I a good listener who wants to know you but I am a trained, licensed and credentialed clinical psychologist in Kansas City. I earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas and I have had a private practice in Plano, Texas for some years before settling in Metro Kansas City.
I offer counseling and therapy for individuals, couples, and groups for various kinds of personal struggles and career issues. Call for a free consultation and let’s talk it out.

I have been interviewed on Fox 4 two more times since this clip. I also spoke about suicide on the KCUR talk show, “Up To Date” as a guest soon after the death of Don Harmon.
